How Long Are Sessions?
Sessions with adults are 60 minutes. Sessions with minors are usually shorter.

What if I can’t afford therapy?
Affordable counselling is also available to those who are unemployed or in financial difficulty. As there are a limited number of these appointments it is necessary to mention affordable counselling when making your appointment.

How Long Will Therapy Last?
Therapy is different for everyone. The duration of therapy varies with your needs in mind.

Will my sessions be at the same time each week?
The time and date of your session can be arranged with your therapist.

Do I need to come weekly?
Weekly therapy is the ideal in supporting therapeutic process. This may change as the therapeutic process continues.

How do I cancel a session?
Should you need to cancel a session you will need to contact your individual therapist, giving them 24 hours notice. In the case that 24 hours notice is not given, full rate will apply.

Is therapy confidential?
Counselling is fully confidential. The only exception to this is in the case of a client or others, including minors are considered to be at risk. This is explained clearly at the first session. If at any stage you are unclear or do not understand these limitations the therapist will be happy to explain them further.

Do you provide online counselling?
No, we do not provide online counselling.

Is my problem big enough, how do I know that counselling is the answer?
Everyone copes differently. How you cope with challenges and difficulties is unique to you. You may feel concerned about something or you may feel at breaking point. You may be experiencing something unexpected or maybe you recognise a pattern you would like to change.
It doesn’t have to be a crisis to seek counselling. Counselling can also be used to improve self-esteem, assertiveness and confidence.
